Virtually every industry is making changes to reach customers with social media as competition increases. Real Estate technology tools are critical for realtors and agents in any capacity; residential and commercial, not only to build relationships with prospective customers, but to maintain those relationships.
In a recent article, Realtor Magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Realtors, named the “Top 30 Under 30” new Real Estate agents for 2013. As some of these winning Realtors share their secrets to success, they inevitably include the use of social media to maintain a connection with their customer base and boost referrals.
“Facebook has been my road to success and allows me to continuously touch my referral sphere,” said Angela Colen of Keller Williams Realty in Raleigh, N.C.
“I incorporate the latest technology to make me more efficient, to market myself, and to make me a better agent,” noted Barak J. Sky, of Long and Foster Real Estate Inc. in Bethesda, Md. “I utilize my base of several thousand Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare and Pinterest friends as my ‘Real Estate farm.’”
In his post, “Top 7 Ways for a Realtor to Use Social Media”, social media blogger Sean Malarkey outlined clear methods for an agent to use social media to increase business. It’s no secret that agents rely on referrals to get their name out and develop new relationships with potential clients. Many agents agree that establishing reputation improves referrals.
