Realogy Holdings Corp, a highly successful Real Estate franchise and brokerage, is accepting applications for its 2014 Realogy FWD Innovation Summit. The annual event is a competition for startups that are developing innovative Real Estate technology.
Fifteen contestants will be chosen for the invitation-only summit, which will take place on June 17 at the Realogy (@Realogy) headquarters in Madison, N.J. The company with the most innovative product for the Real Estate industry will be awarded a $25,000 cash prize.
The summit is also a chance for contestants to showcase their wares for Realogy, which is one of the world’s largest residential Real Estate franchisors, with 13,700 offices and 247,700 sales associates doing business in 103 countries. The president and CEO of the Realogy Franchise Group, Alex Perriello, said in a press release that Realogy made several business relationships with companies that participated in last year’s event.
The chance to work with Realogy has made the event extremely popular. Approximately 100 companies filed applications for last year’s inaugural summit.
The winner of 2013 was Floored, a New York City-based Real Estate company that creates three-dimensional graphics of different types of properties. There were two other finalists from the group. One was HomeZada, a company that develops software for homeowners to manage their home projects and other Real Estate activity. The other was BuyerMLS, an online marketplace where brokers and buyers can browse listings and make sales in real-time.
Companies that want to apply for the 2014 summit can do so online through www.realogyfwd.com. The deadline for turning in an application is April 17, 2014. The website also has information about the 2013 summit, including a list of past participants.
