Q: What is PropertyBase?
A: PropertyBase is a web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application for Real Estate Developers. PropertyBase is the world’s first on-demand real estate solution built entirely on Force.com and powered by Salesforce.com, the world’s leading on-demand CRM platform.


Q: What do I need to run PropertyBase?
A: All you need is a computer with internet connection and a web browser (MS IE, Firefox, Safari etc.). You don’t need to install any software. PropertyBase is pure “Software as a Service” (SaaS) and it exists entirely online. The following browsers (and higher versions) are supported: Mozilla Firefox version 3.0, Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or 7.0 with all hotfixes applied, Apple Safari version 3 on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X version 10.4 and later. For all browsers you must enable JavaScript, cookies, and SSL 3.0.

A: PropertyBase is a web-based application. You can log in anytime from anywhere in the world.


Q: How can I get PropertyBase?
A: PropertyBase is sold by Propertybase GmbH. You can either contact our sales team directly or ask your Salesforce.com account executive for PropertyBase.


Q: Are you selling Propertybase through partners and resellers?
A: Yes, we have several consulting partners and resellers woldwide. Please contact our sales team, they can refer you to the nearest partner.


Q: How long does the implementation take?
A: PropertyBase is a standard application, which means it is instantly available and can be adapted to your specific needs in a few days’ time. Please contact us to find out the exact time and effort needed to meet your requirements.


Q: What service is offered in addition to the application?
A: We offer implementation, training for your staff, and several different support packages (Basic, Premier, and Outsourced Admin).


Q: What if we don’t have in-house staff to administer the application?
A: No worries, we offer a special support service just for you: Outsourced Administration. We will take care of all typical admininistrative activities like setting up users, changing profiles and roles, changing or adding fields, designing reports, or even creating whole new functionalities, working hand-in hand with your business users.


Q: Can I use Salesforce.com SFA (Sales Force Automation) in addition to PropertyBase?
A: Yes, certainly! Please contact our sales team for more information.


Q: I have used Salesforce.com before—will I need training to use PropertyBase?
A: PropertyBase is built on Force.com, the same familiar platform used by salesforce.com. Therefore PropertyBase offers the same look and feel and follows the same logic when configuring page layouts, managing users, creating reports etc.  Because the interface is so familiar, you’re likely to find it very easy to learn PropertyBase.


Q: We are currently using another application. How can we switch to PropertyBase?
A: At PropertyBase, we have migration specialists who are trained to extract data from your current application and migrate it to PropertyBase. In a matter of days we can bring ALL of your current data into PropertyBase.


Q: How is Propertybase managed?
A: PropertyBase is built on Force.com, the same platform used by salesforce.com. It actually runs on the same servers, and the platform is adminstrated and managed by salesforce.com. Q: Is PropertyBase fully SOA compliant?
A: PropertyBase is fully based on the famous SOA compliant API framework of Salesforce.com. Every customization and/or configuration change is fully transparent and immediately available as SOA compliant web service. In this respect, PropertyBase is absolutely unique in the market for real estate business applications. Most others require changes to the webservice layer to make customizations available. In PropertyBase, Salesforce automatically takes care of this.


Q: We work around the world in London, Dubai and Hong Kong. Can we share the same copy of PropertyBase?
A: Yes! Your team can access PropertyBase anytime, from anywhere in the world. And yes, you can share everything you want, including inventory listings, contact information, account information, and more. But don’t worry, your can also restrict access to sensitive information, by using access profiles to control exactly what each person can see.
